Holy Toledo is that really me?
The first thing I thought of when I saw the thinner sox was, oh my lord I am quite beautiful,
then l looked at the before shot and reality set in. Still beautiful but theres a whole pile more
of me.
What an incredible program this is & what an incredible incentive it would be if you stuck
the after shot on the fridge so you could say no to the stuff you know you shouldn’t have. You have sold me darlin.
MASTERING EMOTIONAL FITNESS
No matter how much knowledge someone has, it is only potential power. Knowledge without applied action is a fast track to nowhere.
To reach your weight loss goals you must mentally condition yourself for success first. No matter how hard you diet or workout, without developing the right emotional fitness you just won’t succeed longterm. You are one of the smart few who recognize this, or you wouldn’t be here reading this right now.
You must exert your will everyday to build strong mental muscles. You must demand more of yourself than you think possible in this moment. What makes the difference in human behaviour and allows one person to succeed while the next one fails, regardless of circumstances?
In my early years as a coach I just couldn’t understand why, no matter what I did to improve my clients diet or workout, there was always a group of super achievers. I have spent my whole life studying the science behind this.
What I have learned through 30 years of coaching and thousands of hours and dollars spent on studying is actually really quite simple; you and everyone else on this planet have those skills within you right now.
The only difference is whether you learn to master them or not. If you do, not only will you lose your weight permanently but you will also learn skills that can be applied to any other area of your life.
The best and fastest way to learn these skills is by modelling someone that has already succeed at what you want to accomplish. We can all benefit from having a coach. Someone to encourage and challenge us, someone to remind us of our value and the value of what we are trying to acheive. Someone who cares about us and wants to see us live up to our potential, and can teach us mastering emotional fitness – which will benefit you in all areas of your life..
WHAT WEIGHT LOSS RESULTS ARE YOU GETTING FROM YOUR ACTIONS?
The choices you are making all day long are creating actions that are either moving you closer to or further away from your weight loss goals. Unfortunately it is so easy to get sabotaged by excuses, but the only way you will ever lose that weight is if you can learn the skills needed to stop making excuses, stop hoping someday it will happen and face the fact that the only way you are going to get what you want is to say no to excuses and start taking action that produces weight loss results.
Every one of us has that little voice in our head that wants to make it ok to quit and give up, but for all of us that only leads to worse feelings of inadequacy and hopelessness, and diminishes our enjoyment of life. We all have fears and one of the biggest human fears seems to be that of failure. By developing tools that help you be flexible in your thinking you can start to view your failures as opportunites. In fact it is impossible to succeed without failure because failure is what teaches us what is working for us and what isn’t.
Don’t let your fear stop you. You are worth more than the way you are living right now. There is a philosophy that says success is the result of good judgement but good judgement can only be gained through bad judgement. We are all a work in progress and the more able we are to accept this, the more easily we can start to see our mistakes and frustrations as opportunites to learn and grow.
Think of anything you once found difficult but now take for granted as a skill you have mastered. For me it was learning to drive. I thought I would never be able to do it. Change gears, steer, indicate, hit the clutch, hit the brake, watch for pedestrians and oncoming cars, watch your rear view mirror for bicycles and cars behind you OMG but before I knew it I could drive while putting on my makeup, feeding my baby his bottle (in the back seat) and at the same time have a heated discussion with my husband about raising children. How did I ever do it?
I simply followed some simple rules and everything I did wrong I made changes to until I got it right! Losing weight is exactly the same you just keep changing the things that don’t work and keep fine tuning what you are doing until you succeed. Taking small steps in the right direction helps you build on that success and gives you the courage to keep trying. Pay close attention to your behaviour and notice the weight loss results you are getting from your actions.
